An Unborn Has the Right To Live

In high school, I used to think that if a woman did not want to be pregnant, then she should make sure she didn’t get pregnant. I still believe women carry that kind of responsibility. It was in high school when I began to learn more about two opposing sides: pro-choice and pro-life. I knew I was pro-life, but I thought it might be wrong to take away another woman’s right to decide. In high school, I was what I would call a pro-lifer who was sitting on the fence.

One day, soon after graduating from high school, I heard a pro-life woman talking on the radio. She was explaining how many people are on the fence about whether or not (induced) abortion should be legal. She went on to explain how a baby in the womb is still a human being who is a living person,  alive with a heartbeat, and that the unborn baby should have a right to be born alive. Once I began to think it through, it became clear to me that the unborn baby is always innocent, and it was wrong to take away the unborn baby’s right to be born alive. I also began to see the need to educate young woman and actually, I began to learn that all people need to be educated in every generation.

Soon after high school, I began traveling from place to place, asking people to make a decision for pro-life. It was then when I became aware of many other struggles that existed. Many concerns came up when I discussed the pro-life issue in person. It was clear that people needed to be educated about many different topics such as ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, and induced abortions.

In every generation, we will need to educate not only young women, but all people. An unborn child is not just a clump of cells. An unborn child is not a mistake to be thrown in the garbage. An unborn child is not dead tissue.

An unborn child has its own body. An unborn child is a human being. An unborn child is a person with the right to live with loving parents who are willing to feed, clothe, and take good care of the baby.

An unborn’s body is not your body. An unborn’s body should be loved and protected by law.

Congratulations to Missouri’s big win this week! Missouri knows how important it is to protect the innocent. In Missouri, an unborn child will most likely live to see his or her first birthday.

How To Have Life and Peace

Be encouraged and blessed by Romans chapter 8.

The main point of Romans chapter 8 is to teach the children of God the important obligation of living a life being led by the Holy Spirit of God (Ro. 8:12-14). In order to do that, the children of God need to seek what the Spirit desires (8:5). Paul compares a sinful person who is controlled by a sinful nature to a child of God who is controlled by the Spirit of God.

SEEKING SINFUL DESIRES – A sinful person has his mind set on sinful desires (8:5). A mind set on sinful desires is hostile to God, does not submit to God’s law, cannot please God, and it leads to death (8:7-8).

SEEKING WHAT THE SPIRIT DESIRES – Sons and daughters of God who live according to the Spirit has his or her mind set on what the Spirit desires. A mind set on what the Spirit desires brings life and peace (8:6). 1.) The Spirit will help the children of God pray and intercede for the saints (8:26-27). 2.) The person who has the Spirit of Christ must put to death the misdeeds of the body and not be a slave to fear (8:13-15). 3.) As an heir of God and a co-heir with Christ, we can share in his glory if we share in his sufferings while we eagerly hope for the redemption of our bodies (8:17-23). 4.) For the person who loves God, nothing will separate him from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (8:28, 35-39).

In this life, we can actually be conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ, the Son of God (8:29). For the children of God who are being transformed by the renewing of their mind, from sinful to righteous, they will be graciously blessed because God is for them not against them (8:31-32).
